Processing ....Our Instructors  Instructor Name:Dr. Barbara OverbayDr. Overbay holds a First Degree Black Belt through the ITA Tae Kwon Do group and recently earned her Brown Belt 1st Kyu in Western Masters Tae Kwon Do. She is an Assistant Instructor teaching Beginner Adult TKD and Ladies Self Defense. Contact:daneinvirginia@yahoo.com Other Information:Barbara is a graduate of University of Tennessee and holds a Medical Doctorate M.D. degree from East Tennessee State University College of Medicine. Dr. Overbay is board certified in Infectious disease medicine. Barbara holds a 1st Kyu Brown Belt in Tae kwon do with Western Masters. She has trained in our Aiki-Buki (Sword) class since its inception and recently tied on a White belt and joined our Aikido Program! She has decades of training in classical ballet and adds that sense of balance, grace, body awareness, and physiology to the learning process. Barbara is a Certified Instructor and teaches our beginner Tae Kwon Do programs on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Barbara and her family Mark (also a Physician) and their son Tan are all talented martial arts students. Mark trains in Aikido and Tan is a Red Belt in our Taekwondo program and holds a first degree Black Belt in ITA Taekwondo from an ITA program near Johnson City, TN. We are very proud of Barbara and her entire martial family! |
